What Is the Unforgivable Sin, Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit?

What Is the Unforgivable Sin, Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit?

I. Matthew 12:32 “the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven.” So, what is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? I thought all sins would be forgiven
A. BDAG: ‘to demean through speech’, an esp. sensitive matter in an honor-shame oriented society. to speak in a disrespectful way that demeans, denigrates, maligns

Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; 14and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. 15It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.
3. Repentance is possible for the very worst
Dr. R.C. Sproul writes in his commentary Mark, “Worrying about [whether one has committed the unforgivable sin] is one of the clearest evidences that [the troubled person has] not committed this sin, for those who commit it are so hardened in their hearts that they do not care that they commit it.” Blasphemers of the Holy Spirit are so hardened against God that they do not care about sin, so if we are repentant, we can be sure we have not blasphemed the Spirit.
